Case Study by MWK Architects

Laundry Close

This £2million project of Affordable Homes for East Midlands Housing Group is located in Laundry Close, Wellingborough. This development restored The Sunlight Laundry that had become derelict since 2008. The development consisting of 23 residential units reflects our vision of applied sustainability, meeting the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3. Morton Wykes Kramer was awarded the annual civic award for the project that best serves it’s aims of ‘preserving, developing and improving features of public amenity or historical interest’, as the new homes were built within the conservation area.
