Case Study by MWK Architects

New Chapter Primary School

The New Chapter Primary School extension involved a complete re-think of the reception area. What once was a cramped and uninviting reception was redesigned to increase the size of the area for a much more welcome entrance. A priority when designing the new space was to provide an accessible reception area for wheelchair users. The new and inviting reception area which boasts large, glass windows also provides enough space for informal meetings, as well as a separate meeting room. Morton Wykes Kramer also undertook the task to transform a previously noisy corridor adjacent to the reception to a quiet enclosed designated library area.
